Detailed trip to Cayenne

My recent vol Paris Cayenne trip with Air Caraibes was generally positive. I opted for the billet d'avion classe Caraibes, which offered a bit more legroom and a slightly better meal selection than I expected. The booking process online was straightforward, and I received timely email confirmations. Delivery of e-tickets was immediate. At the airport, check-in was efficient, though the line for bag drop was a little long. Onboard service was attentive, and the crew made sure everyone was comfortable. The flight itself was smooth, taking about 8.5 hours. I also added a bagage supplementaire online, which was easy to manage beforehand. Overall, a solid experience for a long-haul flight.

Good flight to Martinique

Booked a vol Paris Fort-de-France ticket for my vacation. The flight was on time and the seats were decent enough for the price. Had a decent meal onboard too. No complaints, it was a pretty standard and easy experience. Would fly with them again if the price is right.

Reliable for Guadeloupe trips

This was my third time flying vol Paris Pointe-a-Pitre with Air Caraibes, and they're consistently good. I always go for the billet d'avion classe Soleil, it's good value. The previous flights were also on schedule, and this one was no different. Their online check-in is always a breeze, and getting through security at Orly felt quicker this time. It's nice to know what to expect when you fly, and they deliver every time. That's why I keep coming back.

Great value to Punta Cana

I snagged a vol Paris Punta Cana ticket during their soldes d'ete and got a fantastic price! I was looking for the cheapest option and this deal popped up. The fare was significantly lower than other airlines I checked. The flight itself was fine, no frills but got me there comfortably. For the savings I got, it was definitely worth it. I'll be keeping an eye out for their promotions again for my next trip.

Smooth flight, great service

I flew vol Paris Pointe-a-Pitre last month and it was fantastic! The staff were so friendly, and the plane was comfortable. Everything went smoothly from check-in to landing. I'm already planning my next trip with them. Highly recommend!

Decent flight, minor hiccup

I flew vol Paris Saint-Domingue recently. The flight was mostly on time, maybe a 15-minute delay on departure but we made up some time. The seat in billet d'avion classe Soleil was okay, not the most spacious but adequate for the price. I did try to use the in-flight entertainment, but my screen was a bit glitchy initially, though it sorted itself out after a restart. Customer service at check-in was polite. Overall, a good experience for the price, just a small tech issue. I'd consider flying them again for the Caribbean routes.

If I need to change my flight dates, how hard is it with Air Caraibes? Is it a massive headache or pretty straightforward?

D Derek 2 months ago
Depends on your ticket type. Some are more flexible than others and let you change with a fee. Check the conditions of your booking, it should say.

G Greg Reyes 2 months ago
I changed mine once, it was a bit of a fee but not impossible. Had to do it through their customer service online. Took a day or so to process.

Is Air Caraibes any good compared to Air France for flights to Martinique? Never flown them before.

B Ben H. 3 months ago
I've flown both, and honestly, Air Caraibes is totally fine. Sometimes the planes feel a bit older than AF, but service is usually good. Plus, they can be cheaper.

They're reliable. Not fancy but they get you there. I prefer them over Corsair personally, had better experiences with delays and stuff.

Thinking of booking a flight for December from Paris to Guadeloupe. Is that usually a super expensive time to fly with Air Caraibes?

D Dan 2 months ago
December is peak season, man. Everyone goes to the Caribbean for Christmas. Expect higher prices then, no matter the airline.

P Paula Lindqvist 2 months ago
Oh yeah, December, July, August... those are always the priciest. You might catch a flash sale, but generally, it's not cheap then.

Anyone know if you can use promo codes for student discounts on Air Caraibes? Or are those just built into the booking engine directly?

D David 3 months ago
Sometimes they have specific student offers you select when you book, not really a 'code' you enter, from my experience. Just look for the 'tarif etudiant' option.
1
J June Patel 2 months ago
Yeah, I've seen 'tarif jeune' which is probably for students. It's usually part of the fare options when you search, not a separate coupon code box.

Hey, wondering if anyone knows how the baggage allowance works for Air Caraibes? Like, for a regular economy ticket, what's the deal with checked bags?

C Chris Okafor 2 months ago
From what I remember, for basic economy (Soleil class) it's usually one checked bag, 23kg. But definitely double-check your specific ticket confirmation cause it can vary.
5
S Sophie Patel 2 months ago
Yeah, what the other person said. It's 23kg for Soleil. If you go up to Caraibes class, you get more, like two bags, I think. Or you can always pay for an extra if you need.
